May 23, 2004 - Our first day with Kali! We picked her up from Costa Mesa, and brought her home. She was good in the car, but cried most of the way here. Bryon & Sharon came over with Baron & Shelby & Spiderman to meet the new little one.

See How She Grows (Compared to the Goose)
Gotcha! She can be a stinker!! We're not sure where she learned it, but she loves to get on the couch when she thinks we aren't looking. One night we went upstairs to go to bed, and she didn't follow us up. Neil came back downstairs for her, and look where she was!
KALI - Our First Baby!
Two and a half years after moving into our house, we decided it was time - we needed a dog. We got Kali on May 23rd, 2004. She's a Black Lab, and there's no doubt about it! She LOVES playing catch, and likes to play in the water, and even likes kids, once she calms down enough for us to let her around them.
We finally got to see Kali out on the lake. Bryon & Sharon took her once before, and she didn't like swimming too much! This time, she couldn't get enough!! Neil threw the ball for her all afternoon -- she just never seemed to get tired. Shelby can't resist the ball either, so it was a big race.
Up above the pond, one of her favorite places to hang out.
We took Kali to Arizona with us to watch Neil & his Dad play baseball. She seemed to have a good time (resting on top of the dugout in the Rangers/Royals spring training stadium), and was especially spoiled (we let her sleep on the couch and the bed - and we're paying for it now)
Kali says, "I am SO good with kids! See me with the kidlet? I love the kidlet. She was holding one of my treats, and it looked really good (see my tongue sticking out?) Finally she put it down, and I got ahold of it. Ahh, treats, yum!"
