Where we live:
Not exactly - We wished we lived by these palm trees - on the beach in Florida - aren't they beautiful......
We live in Camarillo - a smallish town on the Central Coast of California. Camarillo is the town that Neil works in, so his commute is only a couple of miles. Lisa telecommutes for a company in Carlsbad, so she doesn't even HAVE to commute!!
We recently moved to a new neighborhood - we needed a little bit bigger house, and a LOT bigger backyard! We really have the best of both worlds now, and we're so happy to be in our new house. We haven't met all of our neighbors yet, but it has been exciting making new friends.

Who we are:
She is a Civil Engineering grad who loves to run & read (although not at the same time). She also knits, and she started playing soccer again in 2003 (after a 22 year hiatus!), joining an all women league
He is an Electrical Engineering grad who plays basketball, softball, and golf. He loves working on the backyard, and BBQing tri tip or carne asada.
We've been together since 1994, and were married in 2000. We have a daughter, Kimberly, and a black lab named Kali.
How we met:
Lisa had a roommate named Greta in the dorms. Greta and Neil were in the same math class, and she invited him over to study one night. Lisa didn't know anything about him, except that he lived off campus, and he played baseball. When he walked in the dorm, she took one look at his green Cal Poly jacket, and knew that he was special.
The next day, Lisa ran into Neil and his friend Doug walking around campus. Neil said Hi, but Lisa couldn't remember who he was (!?!) Luckily, she remembered before he got out of sight, and said hi back ("oh, you're the guy who was studying with Greta last night!!")
They saw each other a couple more times that quarter when Neil and Greta were studying, and then ran into each other the first week of spring quarter. They started dating shortly after.
In 1999, Lisa was sent to England for work, for about 5 months. Neil came to visit around Thanksgiving, and proposed to her in London. It was such a shock - but VERY cool!! They were married in September of 2000 in Bidwell Park, in Chico. Neil's friend Chris and Lisa's friend Carlee performed the ceremony, which was attended by family only. Later, a reception was held at Canyon Oaks Country Club in Chico, where friends and family all celebrated.
